The Flames Of Hell Settles....

Mood-O-Meter : Stoned to the max
On The Jukebox : Olympia - E-Type
Blog Snack : Nadah

Thank god the week is over! Last week was intense shit at work. Felt like I was incinerated by the infernos of hell! As our products could be considered FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods for the uninformed), I get one month of orders all in one day to plan. Upon planning, I'd have discussions with the other departments to confirm the master plan. To top it off, had this dumb Risk Assessment training thingy to attend. Had multiple sleepless nights, deprived of sleep, rest, missed out on my workouts, and worst of all did not have much time to teman my sayang too (choli arr... *HUGZ*). But I suppose it's not as bad as it seems. Been hearing horror stories of people in other companies/industries working all month, all year round till late nights. Oh well, just whining like a bitch. :)

This weekend is a 3 day weekend, so it's good to recover from the past week. Just chilling, lotsa TV, lotsa tennis, lotsa Ipoh food... And back to work on MONDAY! *OH* (slap on the forehead ala Homer Simpson)

The Only Certainty Is Uncertainty Itself

Mood-O-Meter : Retrospective
On The Jukebox : California - Phantom Planet
Blog Snack : Ipoh White Coffee (smooth, yet packs a good kick!)

When I sat down to write my blog, I was gonna bitch till high heavens about my day that sucks so much. AC broke down two nights ago so I had to sleep with the fan flying till it rattled, Tekho sending me on a wild goose chase looking for a fucking cekap curry mee, stuck in traffic jam, went all the way to SJMC blood bank only to find out that I was not needed as a donor, all that happened in the morning!

But then *WHAM* got a sucker punch SMS that the grandma of a dear friend just passed on because of cancer. Just when I was going to register myself today to be a platlet donor for another friend who has leukemia. We live in a world full of uncertainties, diseases and illnesses, natural disasters, hate crimes, anything could happen to us, whether or not we have been good or bad, kind or cruel. Heck, a truck could just run me over on my way to the gym later this afternoon. All my problems I have been having so far in my life has been pittance compared to what others are experiencing somewhere else in the world. Having this thought in mind makes me appreciate what I have now so much more. We take for granted things we see, touch, feel, smell, hear from day to day. Guess the news I got today has been a reality check for me.

All this reminds me of a friend who was a cancer survivor. Having gone through hell and back, her values and perceptions to life is so much different from mine. While she sees beauty in everything and being happy and content all the time, I have to say that I have been an assholic sceptic with a carrot shoved up my ass. She lives her life to the fullest as if its the last day on earth, while I am more of a dreamchaser, chasing after dreams and ambition like an infinite loop. Will I ever be happy in life? What does happiness mean to me?

Point to ponder, my Jakunites...

Snaking Around

Mood-O-Meter : Bum-ish
On The Jukebox : Staring At The Sun - U2
Blog Snack : Starbucks' Rhumba (Venti sized!)

Ahoy maties! As promised, more frequent postings, before I start losing my fanbase (che wah, perasan-nye mamat nie). Well, today's a chill day away from work. Was sent for Defensive Driving course by BP (they are real sticklers to safety) at our HQ in Menara Maxis. What was suppose to be a half day engagement turned out to be only half day! Come lunchtime, I was set loose to roam free in the concrete jungle of KL city. While waiting for my limo to pick me up at 5.30pm (company hired for me, does not trust my driving without this bloody course, hahaha!), I'm chillin' @ Starbucks KLCC sipping on my Rhumba. The 'ethical' thing to do will be to get my ass back at Maxis to start working. But since I have set the factory running on Auto-mode for a day, decided to snake around instead. Lol. Turned on my company e-mail just in case though.

The course was OK, learned stuff that I have never realized before. It is little things that we take for granted everyday while driving that may prove to be dangerous driving behavior. Braking at a corner, crossing over your left hand to the right (and vice versa) while steering, hand constantly on the gear knob, doing the 'balancing act' when stopping at slopes (babez, hope you are reading this... hint hint.. hahahaha), are the things that every other driver will do. Little did I know that these are considered 'unsafe driving'. Shrugs.

News Flash: Malaysian Government just announced next year's Budget. As expected, booze and cigarrete taxes will increase by 9% and 13% respectively. Good intentions from the government to curb unhealthy habits of drinking and smoking. But seriously hommes, do you SERIOUSLY think that the average consumer will actually be discourage to drink or smoke from this move? Price of a pack of cigarretes will increase by about 50 sen. 50 SEN??? Gimme a break! Grab a tincup and beg in the streets, you can get more than that. Well, on the other side of the coin, I guess imposing heavier duties will discourage investors from the tobacco and liquer industry (i.e. BAT, Guiness-anchor) to further invest in Malaysia. My take of it is, smokers will continue to puff, drinkers will continue to chug away, regardless of how much tax is imposed. To my friends no worries, I am totally cool with y'all smoking when we hang out and lepak. :) Just don't burn my ass with the butt (pun intended).

Still Alive Y'All !

Mood-O-Meter : Spaced out
On The Jukebox : Dancing In The Moonlight - Toploader
Blog Snack : H20

Wuzzup people... I know, I know its more than a month since my last blog. For those who thought I was dead, well, I'M STILL ALIVE Y'ALL! God damn, been caught up with lotsa stuff since my move to BP. Overall, work has been OK so far. Was a bit overwhelming working in a new, much larger organization after 2.5 years in the comfort zone of EM. Getting the hang of it la.

Think lifestyle has been healthier since though, since they are subsidising my subscription fees for my gym (i.e. Celebrity Fitness). Just killed myself last night over two hours of Bodypump and Bodycombat classes. Its fun, adds a bit of variety to my workouts.

Life has been routine la, work, workout, eat, sleep, wake up, and the cycle goes on and on... though there are some occasional company activities over the weekends. This weekend though, will be catching Manchester Vs. Fulham at 10pm. Fuckers better get it right this time, been slipping points like crazy lately. Well, the inevitable has occurred, Keano has announced that this may be his last season with the Devils. A salute to the midfield general who has fearlessly fought and prevailed in battles a plenty over the years.

If what I've been doing is right, above you should see a pic of my new sayang, AFL 4766. Helluva ride, my new Waja. Been enjoying it so far. Now I am wondering if it is one of those cars recalled by Proton due to rim defects. Oh well, will check it out when I service it next. Oh yeah, next to my sayang is my sayang's new sayang too, ACE 212. Lol.

Gonna whip out my Rocky DVD collection now. Rocky marathon time (Queue: Rocky theme, Gonna Fly Now)
